This role is based in our Norwest Sydney office.
What you'll do
Category Manager brings the BIG W Strategy to life by delivering the Category Strategy to buy the best range and create value for our customers to maximise sales, profit and customer satisfaction and optimise inventory.
* Partner with the Senior Category Manager to build the category strategy by gaining a thorough understanding of customer insights & the market to contribute to the BIG W Strategy
* Curate ranges, refine pricing and promotion channel plan in line with Category Strategy, using Customer and Market insights to ensure it's aligned to BIG W strategies
* Partner with Suppliers to build relationship and optimise supplier portfolio in category to increase sales, profit and customer advocacy
* Partner with BIGW Asia & Graphic Packaging Design Team to maximise own brand offers & grow customer advocacy where relevant
* Working end to end as one team across all Support Teams and broader Woolworths Business
What you'll bring
* Previous experience as a commercial retail buyer, with a proven track record of successfully trading a sizeable category in both revenue and product range.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence key stakeholders.
* Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy across product selection, pricing, forecasting, and reporting.
