Overview
Time commitment for this role: If you have an hour or two per week available and would love to chat and read with our residents, we would love to hear from you! We are currently looking to visit residents at our residential care centres. You will be able to visit the same person at each visit if you have time for more than one visit.

Who we are looking for
Amana Living volunteers are kind, compassionate and have a passion for creating a community for our residents, sharing their time to encourage smiles, laughs and enrich their lives with social interactions. We can usually fit around your schedule.
It is such a privilege to be a volunteer; the role is worthwhile, and you get so much in return — it\'s about spending time with a person, talking to them, and enriching their life. - Renee, volunteer
How it works
The first step is to apply online at the Amana Living website under Volunteer. You will be required to create a profile and fill in an application directly through Amana Living (separate to the expression of interest) and we are here to support you through the whole process. We have a meeting with you about the roles available, locations, your interests and compliance required. All volunteers receive orientation at site, further training when required, support and access to current information on volunteering and aged care. References are available upon request.
At Amana Living, volunteers become part of the team, making a real difference and enjoying the positive reward of the Amana Living Community. Our volunteers also have opportunities to connect with other like-minded individuals at regular social events during the year.
