We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Trades Assistant to join our workshop team supporting our Heavy Plant and Truck Mechanic .
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to build mechanical experience, or is looking to start a career in the heavy vehicle or plant industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting mechanic with servicing, repairs, and maintenance on heavy trucks and earthmoving plant
* Cleaning and preparing parts, tools, and work areas
* Moving equipment and parts within the workshop
* Basic mechanical tasks under supervision
* Workshop housekeeping and general yard duties
* Following all safety procedures and workshop standards
About You
* Mechanical aptitude or interest in trucks and earthmoving plant
* Previous workshop experience preferred
* Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
* Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on environment
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
* Driver’s licence essential
