Continuing Full-Time AppointmentProfessional Employee Level 8 - $104,888 – $118,578 paPlus 17% superannuation and 6 weeks annual leaveCasuarina CampusThe Assessment Specialist - VET plays an important role in supporting the ongoing development and implementation of the institutional VET Assessment System encompassing policy and procedures, resources and professional learning to ensure VET assessments are valid, reliable, flexible and fair.About the PositionAs the Assessment Specialist - VET, you will be responsible for bringing the CDU's Transformative Teaching and Learning Core Plan 2022-2026 vision to life by working within the "third space" - a dynamic area where trainers, assessors and professional staff collaborate to implement transformative strategies that deliver a VET quality assessment system encompassing design, practice and validation to assure the quality of graduate outcomes.About YouTo be successful, you will require:Completion of or progress towards a relevant postgraduate qualification and equivalent experience, knowledge, and training in VET assessment and possession of a current Certificate IV in Training, Assessment, and Education OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Demonstrated ability for collaborative leadership to implement transformative strategies that focus on best practice assessment design, practice and validation.Demonstrated experience advising, supporting and training professional and academic staff to develop VET assessment methods and tools catering to face-to-face, blended, flexible, online and work-based learning experiences.Demonstrated experience as a lead assessment validator.Demonstrated specialist knowledge and practice in the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).Proven capacity to motivate people and work collaboratively on assessment projects and teams to achieve strategic and operational educational outcomes.Proven ability to demonstrate initiative, creativity and accountability.Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of effective assessment strategies and technologies for diverse cohorts of students.Demonstrated experience in the digital design of VET assessments and using learning analytics and other student and industry feedback forms.Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of educational compliance, standards, and regulatory requirements.Demonstrated knowledge, understanding and application of cultural diversity, especially Indigenous cultures.RemunerationAppointment to this role will be at Professional Level 8.
The base salary will be in the range of $104,888 - $118,578 per annum.
