Job Role
As a key member of our catering team, you will work closely with colleagues to prepare and present meals for airline passengers. Key responsibilities include food preparation, plating and presentation, stock management, loading and unloading equipment, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
* Food Preparation: Prepare meals according to presentation specifications using visual guides.
* Stock Management: Ensure efficient stock levels, including dry store items, equipment, packaged snacks and beverages.
* Loading and Unloading: Load and unload wash lines, ensuring all cutlery, crockery and glassware are in perfect condition.
* Compliance: Maintain compliance with food safety guidelines and adhere to hygiene standards and cleaning schedules.
Requirements:
* Numerical Skills: Strong numerical skills are essential for this role.
* Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
* Physical Ability: Ability to stand for prolonged periods, move and lift items is necessary.
* Work Schedule: Ability to work shift work across a 7-day roster is required.
