Overview
This Line 2 risk role involves managing and overseeing business processes and procedures related to the Risk Management Framework. As a support to the General Manager, the position leads all risk-related activities with the aim of improving risk maturity in the organisation. You will champion a culture that prioritises risk management and promotes continuous improvement.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure adherence to Risk Management Framework (RMF) including Risk Appetite Statement, Risk Management Strategy, Outsourcing and Business Continuity Management.
Develop, maintain and update key risks and key controls to reflect business operations and emerging risks.
Drive the key controls testing process, analyse and report results to stakeholders, and maintain and execute the control testing methodology.
Manage and support the implementation of the issue and incident management processes and review adherence to compliance obligations.
Examine policies and procedures, liaise with internal and external parties in their updates and compilation, and design and compile regular risk reports.
Act as a key liaison with external and internal auditors, provide timely and effective risk advice to relevant teams and proactively identify and manage incidents and issues.
Promote risk awareness through training and incident and issue resolution while role championing positive risk management behaviours.
Ideal Skills:
Proven Risk and Compliance experience within an APRA regulated environment.
Relevant Tertiary qualifications such as Commerce/Economics/Business etc favourable.
Ability to keep on top of emerging risks and convert these into practical actions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
Demonstrated experience in risk identification and assessment and controls design and implementation.
Ability to prioritise your workloads and manage your time efficiently.
Commercial and analytical mindset.
