Manager of Business Unit 5D Facilities Maintenance

Broken Hill Correctional Centre

Location – Broken Hill Correctional Centre

Employment Type – Ongoing 5D, Full-Time role (5 Days)

Salary – $142,961.00 pa + Superannuation + Annual Leave Loading.

Your Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Manager that is a logical and analytical thinker, with robust trade and business management experience within the building and construction industry.

What You Will Do

As part of the role, the successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the Business Unit to ensure productivity, efficiency and other commercial objectives are achieved. You will need to maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and staff as well as assist with business development.

The Role Requires

Supervision and management of staff and inmates by appraising performance of business unit and offering counsel and feedback to ensure that the organisational outcomes are achieved. Strong time management and computer skills.Experience working in a high-pressure environment and managing delivery of key business objectives within set timeframes.Willingness to assist across all trades as required.Manage resources and budget efficiently and effectively, to achieve planned outcomes.Maintaining duty of care across the unit and ensure WHS safety requirements are being met by sustaining a safe work environment for staff, inmates, contractors, and visitors.

What We Are Looking For

As a standout candidate you will have:

Proven recent post trade experience. Experience which demonstrates the ability to meet the key accountabilities and focus capabilities as detailed in the role description. Ability and willingness to assist across various trades as required.Proven experience in quality management and Business management software, pronto or similar business management reporting systems.

Essential Requirements

Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or willingness to obtain within set timeframes nominated by CSNSW (10 Weeks paid training).Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive a vehicle while performing the role.Relevant trade qualifications: Background in Facilities Maintenance Management Role relevant to Facilities Maintenance.Willingness to participate in cyclic after hours on call roster.
