We are seeking a motivated and community-focused Carer Recruitment & Development Worker to join our team based in Grafton.
This role plays a key part in recruiting, assessing, and supporting carers to provide safe, nurturing homes for children and young people. This is a 4-day-per-week role offering flexibility, training, and a mix of office, community, and home-based work.
About the role
Based in the Grafton office, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality carer recruitment and development activities, working closely with carers, applicants and internal teams.
Responsibilities
* Completing carer assessments, reviews, and information exchange sessions
* Supporting recruitment activities, including community events and occasional weekend engagement
* Maintaining accurate records and assessment documentation
* Working in collaboration with colleagues to support carer development and retention
* Working within trauma-informed and culturally safe practice frameworks

About you
* Experience in community services, OOHC, foster/kinship care or similar with transferable skills considered
* Strong written skills for completing assessments and reports
* Confidence in engaging with carers and community stakeholders
* The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* A current driver's licence and willingness to travel locally
Relevant qualifications and experience will be recognised in line with SCHADS Level 5.
