Overview
Dawson Mine is a large open‐cut coal mine located at the southern end of the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, approximately 2 hours west of Rockhampton or Gladstone.
Responsibilities
* Develop a culture focused on safety and efficiency that delivers optimal business results.
* Lead a mixed‐trade team of employees, embedded staff and contractors to complete quality work per the maintenance schedule.
* Support effective resource allocation (people, equipment and resources) to meet maintenance work schedules.
* Provide support and advice to the Maintenance team on ways to optimise equipment reliability and availability.
* Collaborate with operations and process teams to address daily operational issues.
* Identify long‐term process improvement opportunities and deliver projects to achieve outcomes.
* Carry out all work safely and in accordance with correct operating procedures.
* Protect and promote the reputation of the organisation.
* Complete tasks and duties requested by the leader and key stakeholders in a safe manner and in alignment with Anglo's values.
* Build and maintain positive working relationships through teamwork and mutual respect.
* Contribute critically to the planning and implementation of work.
Qualifications
* Mechanical Trade Qualification (Diesel Fitting, Boilermaking or Auto Electrical Trade).
* Supervisor & Risk Facilitator competencies (S1, S2, S3 & G2).
* Strong understanding of open‐cut mining equipment and techniques.
* Desire to continually develop as an effective supervisor and leader.
* Knowledge of SAP and project‐management tools is highly desirable.
