About the role
Sawyers Arms Tavern is seeking an experienced Chef de party. This full time position offers the prospect to work within one of Geelong's best hospitality venues and being family run and operated.
What you'll be doing
Managing sections of the kitchens as required.
Oversee all food preparation, ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
Assist with food and labour costs to optimise profitability and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with the restaurant management team to enhance the overall customer experience.
Provide coaching and mentorship to junior members of the kitchen team.
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years' experience
Excellent communication skills and team first attitude
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and menu development
Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
Passion for using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients
Adaptable and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
