A well-established WA civil construction contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/ Estimator to join its team. This role will partner with the existing team of QS/Estimators and support a strong pipeline of bulk earthworks, and infrastructure across the Perth metro area and regional WA.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the performance of multiple civil projects, supporting the preparation of detailed cost estimates, evaluating project requirements, and contributing to the efficient, high-quality delivery of projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, keen attention to detail, and effective collaboration skills in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with senior estimator and team of Quantity Surveyors
* Ability to implement strategies to improve process
* Manage surveying costs.
* Manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow.
* Prepare and assess variations, progress claims, and final accounts.
* Oversee subcontractor procurement and contract administration
Key requirements
* Good communication skills - Will be dealing with engineers, clients and the rest of the QS/Estimating team
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
* Proven experience in WA civil construction (earthworks, roads, services)
* Understanding of Australian Standard and other standard form contracts.
* Experience working with: 12D - AutoCAD - CAD 3d - Can Com
* Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and plans
* Strong knowledge of local subcontractor and supplier markets
