COULD THIS BE YOU?
This engineering role will be responsible for ensuring delivery of Council's water and sewer main renewal program. In addition the role will ensure maintenance and operation of Council's water supply and wastewater networks.
You will have highly developed communication/negotiation skills and the ability to work efficiently in this autonomous role.
The Senior Distribution Engineer is responsible for:
6. Lead a team of technical and field staff responsible for the provision of reliable, efficient water and sewerage distribution systems to the residents and businesses of Tamworth and surrounding areas.
7. Research, develop and provide professional engineering advice on strategic planning, design, construction, maintenance and operations of water supply and wastewater distribution systems including water and sewerage reticulation, metering, backflow prevention.
8. Lead and develop the section staff and resources; including monitoring staff performance, resource allocation, problem solving and conflict resolution.
9. Prepare and implement management plans, contracts, auditing and review processes for distribution components of the water supply and wastewater schemes.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED

12. Degree & Post Graduate Diploma or 4 Year Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications acceptable for Corporate Membership of The Institute of Engineers Australia

Salary range: Grade 21 - $131,103.67- $141,864.87 per annum including superannuation, plus allowances, 3.5% civil liabilities allowance and leaseback vehicle for a 35 hour work week. Salary may be negotiated based on skills, experience and your value to our organisation.
Flexible working arrangements will be considered by mutual agreement and according to operational requirements.
