The ideal candidate will have expertise in Renal, General, and Acute Care Medicine, with a strong commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
The role involves providing clinical services across the hospital and surrounding remote communities, as well as participating in teaching, simulation-based education, and professional development activities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing inpatient and ambulatory care
* Supervising and mentoring junior doctors
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
* Engaging in teaching and simulation-based education
The successful candidate will possess:
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or an equivalent qualification in Renal and General Medicine
* Demonstrated interest in and commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
* Ongoing participation in continuing education, clinical teaching, research, and quality assurance initiatives
* Cultural competence
