We are seeking a highly capable Commercial Manager to drive the commercial and financial performance of the business. This senior leadership role is responsible for maximising profitability, supporting sustainable growth and providing trusted commercial partnership to the General Manager SA and Senior Leadership Team.
The role oversees the finance function and broader commercial pillar, including IT, inventory and asset management, and plays a critical role in shaping strategy, governance and decision‑making across the business.
Key Responsibilities Commercial Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned to organisational objectives
Identify growth opportunities, market trends and revenue improvement initiatives
Provide high‑quality commercial insights to support strategic planning and decision‑making
Financial Management
Develop balanced and realistic budgets and forecasts
Deliver variance analysis, commentary and meaningful performance insights
Track KPIs and action plans, communicating outcomes cross‑functionally
Monitor project and operational budgets, profitability and cost‑control initiatives
Risk, Governance & Compliance
Identify and mitigate commercial, financial and contractual risks
Ensure compliance with legislation, industry standards and internal policies
Maintain strong governance, controls and reporting frameworks
Capital & Asset Management
Provide robust financial modelling and decision support for business cases and investments
Oversee fleet plans and capital expenditure requests, ensuring accuracy and ongoing upkeep
Prepare internal documentation for lease agreements and ad‑hoc property requirements
Maintain and manage the property lease schedule
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, mentor and develop commercial and administrative team members
Foster a high‑performance, collaborative culture
Partner closely with sales, operations, finance and legal teams to deliver integrated outcomes
About You
CA or CPA qualified, with strong commercial judgement and operational understanding
Proven experience in a senior commercial, finance, contract or business management role
Strong financial and analytical capability, including budgeting and forecasting
Sound understanding of risk management and governance frameworks
Project management experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant business systems
Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness
Results‑driven, with a focus on sustainable growth and profitability
Highly organised, adaptable and comfortable managing competing priorities
Collaborative leader who builds trust and inspires high performance
