About the Role
Are you a motivated individual seeking to start your career in mining? WorkPac is recruiting new-to-industry operators at an open cut coal mine site near Boggabri. Previous operating experience in civil, quarry or farming is required.
Please note: these are residential based positions and no camp is offered.
What you will need
* Previous experience operating mobile plant in a farming, civil, quarry or construction environment (e.g., tractors, loaders, dozers, moxys, excavators)
* Driver's licence and confidence to drive a manual vehicle (P2 minimum)
* Residential address within a 1 hour drive to the mine site (Boggabri/Gunnedah region)
* Ability to undertake an Order 43 Medical and Drug and Alcohol screening
* CMI check (or willingness to obtain one)
What you will be doing
* Learn how to safely operate dump trucks in a coal mining environment
* Work both day and night shifts on a Monday - Friday roster
* Meet KPIs within the coal production environment
* Earn an hourly base rate of $35.91 per hour plus penalties
* Receive an additional night shift allowance of $5.39 per hour
* Work 10.5 hour shifts, Monday - Friday
* Superannuation paid on all rostered hours
* Accrue additional hourly allowances after your first 3 months:
o Allowance 1: $5 per hour paid weekly
o Allowance 2: $5 per hour paid quarterly
