Senior Advisor, Media & Content - Randstad is proud to be partnering with a prominent government body, seeking an experienced and purpose‑driven Senior Advisor, Media & Content. Location: Footscray. Pay Rate: $75 - $90 per hour + super. Contract Length: 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
* Media Strategy & Implementation: Oversee the development and implementation of effective media strategies and plans.
* Media Management: Manage and implement media events, build relationships with key media stakeholders, and provide advice on managing media issues and opportunities.
* Content Development: Source, prioritise, and generate high‑quality content for media and other platforms, ensuring it is timely and aligned with business priorities.
* Brand Champion: Promote and uphold the brand consistently across all external communication platforms.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Significant experience in a media, communications, or similar position.
* A strong track record implementing successful media and social media campaigns.
* Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, reactive media.
* Experience in emergency or crisis management.
* Ability to work with minimal supervision and well under pressure to tight deadlines.
* Excellent research and story‑telling abilities.
* Technical knowledge in strategic scanning to identify emerging issues, media and social media management, and public affairs.
* A qualification in a public relations, communications, or journalism‑related discipline and/or demonstrated senior experience in a similar position.
* Experience working in or with a government agency (preferred).
