Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and motivated cook to manage and support daily kitchen operations. The role involves food preparation, smoking meats, and maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency in line with industry expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor food quality throughout preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and standards
• Liaise with management and kitchen staff to discuss food preparation requirements, workflow, and service expectations
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations
• Coordinate and organise daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service delivery.
• Prepare, season, and cook food using appropriate methods in accordance with menu requirements
• Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide guidance on food preparation and cooking procedures to kitchen staff
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a cook or in a kitchen environment.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, grilling techniques, and kitchen operations.
• Proven ability to be a self starter and manage kitchen workflows.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
