Business Development Manager

About the role

This opportunity involves implementing and managing activities with Industrial Distributors to ensure the full range of SKF products and services is promoted and distributed by distributors.

The successful applicant will work with departments across the country to profitably grow the SKF market and identify opportunities for expansion into markets or customers using SKF's diverse portfolio as the differentiator.

Key Responsibilities:

* Executing business growth strategies and plans specific to distributor-driven KPIs, requirements, and expectations
* Aligning SKF value offers to deliver distributor development plans
* Forecasting and stock profiling at distributors and local Distribution Centres
* Scheduling regular visits to distributor branches and key customers
* Monitoring competitor information and business intelligence
* Liaising with Marketing to promote SKF through joint campaigns and trade shows
* Developing contract bases by supporting Value Added initiatives and pricing models
* Creating insights into business achievements through C4C

Requirements:

* Tertiary qualifications in Business and/or Engineering
* At least five years' experience in a similar role with responsibility for delivering strategies that have demonstrated success
* Sound knowledge of industrial rotating equipment and related technology
* Experience in Project Management and team-based strategic selling approaches
* Strong commercial acumen, including business and contract management
* Demonstrated experience developing strategies and business relationships at various levels
* Ability to leverage resources and capabilities within an organisation to achieve sales objectives
* Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation skills, and interpersonal skills
* Collaboration tools proficiency
* Willingness to travel
