Facilities Operations Specialist
As the facilities operations specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our facilities located on the Waite Campus.
The position is responsible for streamlining organisational processes, including inventory management, health and safety protocols, cleanliness standards, tracking facility infrastructure and stock management.
You will work closely with all staff to ensure that facilities run efficiently and staff and students adopt best practices for facility operations.
To be successful, you will need:
* Knowledge of laboratory operations and management principles.
* Working knowledge of running a biological sciences research laboratory.
* Proven skills in laboratory management and organisation.
* Familiarity with safety and other statutory compliance matters relevant to a field and laboratory environment.
* Previous experience working with plants, with good working knowledge of biosecurity and other statutory requirements.
This role offers an opportunity to support staff and students through engagement in experimental work from time to time and contributing to strategic projects within the organisation.
