RELIEF EDUCATION ASSISTANTS - EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST
HillSide Christian College is seeking applications for Relief Education Assistants to fill ad hoc and short-term relief positions as they arise. Successful applicants will be practising evangelical Christians who are proven performers, able provide effective classroom support and positively complement a team environment. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate and work within the College's Christian framework. All relief staff will need to accept the College's Code of Conduct (including Statement of Faith) and all compliance requirements.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate their personal faith in Jesus Christ as God and Saviour and be an active member of an evangelical Christian Church. Successful applicants will have a desire to work within a Christian team setting and be expected to support teaching from a Christian worldview.
Salary to be negotiated based on the employee's experience and qualifications.
HOW TO APPLY
The application must include:
* Cover letter outlining suitability for a relief education assistant role within the context of HillSide Christian College (maximum two pages)
* The applicant's current CV outlining qualifications, church membership, professional referees, contact details, and career history
* A written reference from a Pastor/Elder or the contact details of a Pastor/Elder who may be contacted for a verbal reference in regard to the applicant's Christian faith, character and practice;
* A copy of all qualifications and compliance documents named in the dot points below:
* a current Working with Children Card (WWCC) or willingness to apply
* a current Police Clearance or willingness to apply
The following will need to be provided when requested:
* Birth Certificate or Passport or, Visa Grant or VEVO document as relevant to confirm rights to work in Australia
* Photographic identification
* Copy of all qualifications
Interviews and referee checks will be integral to the selection of any candidate.
The position will only be filled by the College when a suitably qualified applicant, as ratified by the College Board, is secured.
