The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Manager, Global Public Relations (Consumer PR) to join our Marketing department. The global communications function is responsible for building and protecting Agoda's reputation as a trusted and innovative brand with partners and consumers worldwide. The Communications team oversees 10+ managed markets, supporting different parts of the business to share Agoda's story. The Senior PR Manager will be central to making us more impactful as part of an international, results-focused team. We move fast and leverage many channels to reach our audiences. You'll contribute ideas and help shape our thinking.
The role will be based in Bangkok, Thailand, and will report to the Director of Communications.
Responsibilities
* Shape and define the PR strategy to elevate Agoda's visibility in markets across Asia Pacific and beyond
* Manage and develop two direct reports, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support to help them achieve their goals
* Manage multi-market agency teams to deliver measurable consumer content
* Ideate scalable content to keep Agoda in the news, leveraging data, product, campaigns, and corporate news
* Monitor breaking news, spot trends, and identify editorial/content opportunities for Agoda; craft compelling narratives
* Develop creative media relations strategies with a focus on analysis and measurement
* Provide input for the global team when drafting pitches, media briefings, Q&As, and campaign ideas
* Respond to global media inquiries and manage the Agoda press office
* Counsel and coordinate with stakeholders across Agoda who require PR support
What you'll Need to Succeed
* Creative thinker with a proactive, can-do attitude
* 8+ years of experience in public relations in traditional and digital environments; ideally in both agency and in-house settings, with 3+ years managing teams
* Strong storytelling skills for consumer, corporate, and B2B audiences
* Demonstrable experience with an integrated PR approach (content, social media, influencers, partnerships, etc.)
* Strong media contacts and knowledge of influencers and non-traditional channels
* Excellent English writing, editing, and proofreading skills
* Experience in crisis and issues management is beneficial
* Ability to think quickly, spot trends, and respond to social sentiment
* Proven project management skills and experience managing creative and production resources
* Experience in matrix organizations, across multiple markets and stakeholders
* Experience managing and optimizing budgets
* Ability to measure content quality and impact for future improvement
