South Burnett CTC Inc (CTC) is a not-for-profit community organisation committed to supporting disadvantaged individuals and families across various services, including Foster Care, Residential Care, Youth & Family Services, and Disability Services. With teams operating from Kingaroy, Wondai, Nanango, and Murgon, we strive to create a safe and empowering environment for those we serve.
CTC's Residential Services are specifically designed to provide safe and nurturing care for young individuals unable to live in family-based placements. Our program is directly funded by the Queensland government, ensuring that we meet the unique needs of young people who have experienced trauma.
**Position Overview**: 
The Residential Youth Worker plays a vital role in delivering day-to-day care and support to young people in a residential setting. Utilising a trauma-informed approach, Youth Workers help create a safe and engaging environment where young people can thrive and develop essential life skills. This position involves a variety of tasks, from cooking and cleaning to supporting educational and recreational activities.
Youth Workers operate on a rotating roster, ensuring that care is provided around the clock. Comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided to equip you with the skills necessary for success in this role. 
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or committed to obtaining. 
- Empathy and understanding for children who have experienced trauma. 
- Ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations. 
- Current Queensland Driver's License and First Aid/CPR Certificates. 
- Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
**Salary & Benefits**: 
Salary details will be discussed during the interview process. Following training and buddy shifts, the position will be a Level 2 under the SCHADS Award ($41.76 per hour - casual).
