Fast growing private equity backed business on the lookout for a Financial Accountant to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in the financial onboarding and integration of acquired businesses, ensuring seamless transitions and alignment.
Responsibilities will include:
* Lead the transition of financial reporting for acquired entities from cash basis to accrual basis accounting, improving accuracy and ensuring regulatory compliance.
* Standardise and align financial statements of newly acquired companies with accounting policies.
* Support valuation and due diligence efforts by providing timely and accurate financial data and insights to key stakeholders.
* Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations, to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
* Oversee core monthly accounting functions for acquired businesses such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, BAS, and superannuation payments.
* Conduct bank reconciliations and manage the allocation of payments and receipts across multiple accounts using Xero.
* Assist in the migration and implementation of accounting software and ERP systems, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
To be considered for this role you will be CA/CPA qualified and have a strong foundation in financial and management accounting. You will have hands-on experience with Xero and other accounting/ERP systems. You will have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will have strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
