About the role
The Specification Manager is responsible for driving brand awareness and increasing Duravit's specification footprint within the A&D community, major developers, and key commercial and residential projects. This role requires a proactive, design-oriented professional who can build strong relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, and project managers to ensure Duravit is the preferred brand for high-end bathroom solutions across Australia.
Successful candidate will play a key role in representing Duravit's national operations, with regular travel between Melbourne and Sydney.
About you
Minimum 5 years' experience in a specification, business development, or architectural sales role within the design, building, or bathroom industry (required).
Established network within the A&D community (architects, designers, specifiers, developers).
Strong understanding of project and specification processes in the construction industry.
Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.
Proficiency with CRM software and project tracking tools.
Tertiary qualification in Design, Architecture, Business, or related field (preferred but not required).
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Specification Growth
Develop and execute a strategic plan to increase Duravit product specifications within the A&D market.
Identify and pursue key commercial, multi-residential, and hospitality project opportunities.
Maintain a robust project pipeline and manage specifications from concept through to completion.
Secure inclusion of Duravit products in project documentation and tender packages.
2. Relationship Management
Build and nurture long-term relationships with architects, designers, developers, and plumbing consultants.
Conduct regular client visits, design presentations, and training sessions for industry partners.
Represent Duravit at trade shows, design events, and industry networking functions.
3. Product Knowledge & Technical Support
Deliver expert product presentations, technical guidance, and design consultations.
Collaborate with technical and sales teams to ensure accurate specification details and support project execution.
Stay informed on design trends, competitor activity, and emerging market opportunities.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with the National Sales Manager and distribution partners to align specification activity with sales objectives.
Coordinate with marketing for the development of specification tools, sample materials, and promotional initiatives.
Support CRM and project tracking processes to ensure data accuracy and visibility.
