Greenham Tongala is recruiting experienced yard persons with cattle handling skills who are prepared to learn and grow with the Company in our expansion.
Full time positions are available, currently operating Monday to Friday.On-site accredited training programs are provided in a state-of-the-art yard system.
An understanding of animal welfare & OH&S requirements is critical in this role.ResponsibilitiesCarry out daily duties such as pen movements, drafting, cutting out and unloading of incoming cattle.Receive stock, sort, count, and prepare cattle for processing.Qualifications & RequirementsExperience handling cattle and working with different breeds, from dairy through to prime beef.Strong discipline, alertness, physical fitness, and strength of mind and body; ability to work as part of a team.Understanding of animal welfare and OH&S requirements.Willingness to undertake comprehensive on-site training and to operate within a 36-hour week with opportunities for overtime.Ability to pass a physical functional capabilities assessment and pre-employment drug & alcohol testing; these are standard at Greenham sites.Full unrestricted working rights in Australia (applications seeking sponsorship will not be considered).
