SERVICE TECHNICIAN (Auto Electrician or Mechanic)
Our client is a global manufacturer of technology products used all over the world, with own sales and service companies directly on location where their customers are based.
A rare opportunity has arisen for a SERVICE TECHNICIAN with either auto electrical or mechanical experience to join the Melbourne based service team.
ROLE SYNOPSIS
The successful technician's primary focus will be supporting the service department by installing and servicing interlock devices on private vehicles, commercial trucks, and aviation assets in an efficient and timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Inspect, repair, and calibrate return equipment to ensure it is properly maintained and fit for purpose according to its specifications.
* Maintain accurate service records to provide traceability of maintenance documentation in accordance with relevant standards and QA requirements.
* Supply appropriate reports of work conducted and complete "CRM Service" to allow job completion.
* Promptly assess incoming jobs and provide feedback if there are any delays.
* Work under pressure and organize work priorities to meet deadlines.
* Read and understand technical service documentation and diagrams.
* Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
* Service the client's product range and comprehend technical problems.
* Undertake the maintenance & testing of equipment in line with training and competencies to ensure it is properly maintained and fit for purpose according to specifications, customer requirements and relevant standards.

* Foster a culture of safety first, performing all activities with safety as a priority, following OH&S standards and the client's Integrated Management System (IMS).
SPECIAL COMPETENCIES
* Computer skills – Microsoft Windows applications, CRM software & Outlook (advantage).
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Analytical & problem‑solving skills.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
* Successful completion of high school (Year 10 or equivalent).
* Certificate: Electrical Technician, Grade A Electrician, Auto Electrician or Mechanic.
