Seeking Fine dining / beverage attendants, live in position.
Our Hospitality staff are a crucial addition to our team at Woomera RAAF base.
The purpose of this position is to ensure the delivery of great customer service to Australian Defence personnel and their families based at Woomera, thereby supporting their mission in the defence of Australia.
The Hospitality staff provides great service to all customers The role is casual employment, commitment to six months is preferred working for one of the leading infrastructure service providers in Australia operating over 400 sites and covering a broad range of industry segments, including defense water and electricity.
All successful applicants will need to demonstrate previous experience in high end hospitality.
- **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- **Greeting and Seating**: Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanour, escort them to their tables, and ensure a comfortable and pleasant dining environment.
- **Menu Knowledge**: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and recommendations. Provide detailed explanations and answer any questions guests may have.
- **Order Taking**: Efficiently take orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to special requests or dietary restrictions. Relay orders to the kitchen staff and communicate any specific instructions from guests.
- **Service Excellence**: Deliver high-quality service throughout the meal, anticipating needs, and maintaining a professional and attentive demeanour. Ensure that food is served promptly and accurately.
- **Wine and Beverage Service**: Assist guests in selecting wines or beverages that complement their meals. Demonstrate knowledge of the wine list and confidently make recommendations.
- **Table Maintenance**: Monitor tables to ensure they are clean and properly set. Clear used dishes promptly and discreetly.
- **Payment Processing**: Handle billing accurately and efficiently, process payments, and thank guests for their patronage.
- **Bartending Skills**: Possess strong bartending skills, including knowledge of various cocktails, spirits, and mixology techniques.
- **Customer Engagement**: Engage with patrons in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- **Order Processing**: Take drink orders from customers, prepare and serve beverages promptly, and handle multiple orders simultaneously during peak times.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor and manage bar inventory, ensuring that adequate stock levels are maintained. Report any shortages or discrepancies to management.
- **Cleanliness and Organization**: Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked. Perform routine cleaning tasks to maintain a hygienic and inviting environment.
- **Compliance**: Adhere to legal regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages, including checking IDs and refusing service when necessary.
- **Communication**: Coordinate with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth service and efficient order fulfillment.
All roles require excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Continuous training and staying updated on industry trends are essential for success in the ever-evolving hospitality field.
**EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS**:
- RSA
- Minimum of 2 years fine dining experience
- Able to work on a remote site.
- Safe food handling & hygiene
- Proven record of reliability, punctuality, and consistency
- Ability to adhere to compliance and operational requirements communicated in English.
- Ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues and contribute as a team player.
