Robert Half Executive Search has been retained to appoint an experienced Sales Manager/ Head of Sales for the ANZ region for a market-leading consumer goods business. Our client is seeking a proven leader with experience in leading and uplifting a regional sales team.

The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director - ANZ, the Sales Manager/Head of Sales will lead all sales activity across multi-sector products in the ANZ region, with the autonomy to uplift sales capability and drive commercial revenue performance strategies.
Key to success will be delivering seamless customer experience across wholesalers, distributors and retail channels, while developing and executing strategies that drive growth and achieve sales targets.
Key areas of focus include:
* Proactively lead, motivate and coach the ANZ sales team to meet KPIs, targets and business requirements.
* Own commercial revenue delivery, including revenue targets and increasing regional sales.
* Create and implement effective ANZ sales strategies that drive sustainable market growth, increase market share, and strengthen the brand presence.
* Build, manage and grow relationships with new and established ANZ key accounts across retail and wholesale customers for example, Harvey Norman, TK Maxx, The Good Guys, Myer, Bing Lee, JB Hifi, Chemist Warehouse, Priceline Pharmacy, The Warehouse etc.
* Gather and analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer insights to refine strategy and support more accurate monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting.
* Liaise with the broader business to improve strategy and market saturation.
The role requires the ability to transition effectively between hands on field work and strategic leadership.
Travel will be required domestically and to New Zealand.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate is a people focused leader with an articulate, collaborative and humble style, supported by strong listening skills. As a key member of the ANZ leadership team, this role owns commercial revenue performance and ensures capability and consistency across the sales network.
In addition, they will bring:
* Proven experience in sales leadership, with a strong track record of uplifting sales team capability, a solid understanding of sales networks and field operations, and deep experience in sales, account management or business development.
* Significant experience in sales, account management or business development roles
* Proven experience building strong, trusted internal and external relationships.
* Integrity in leadership, combined with strong commercial acumen.
* Willingness to respectfully share perspectives and influence positive change
* Confident in influencing stakeholders, driving growth, and shaping the ANZ sales strategy.
* High analytical capability, with the ability to interpret commercial data and translate insights into practical action.
* Strong organisation and coordination skills, leading with a motivating and inclusive approach.
* The ability to balance strategic oversight with hands on field support.
* A genuine interest in customer needs and the competitive landscape.
* Adaptable, with the ability to learn quickly and think on your feet.
* Brings strong cultural alignment to a low ego, low hierarchy, hands on environment where collaboration and humility are essential
