We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Administration Assistant to join a busy transport and logistics operation based in Bromelton. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong customer service and administration skills.
The Role
Working within a dynamic operations team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and customer support across freight and transport functions.
Key Duties Include:
* Responding to customer enquiries via phone and email
* Providing updates on freight bookings, schedules, and deliveries
* Processing freight bookings and transport documentation including manifests and consignment notes
* Monitoring freight movements and proactively communicating updates to customers
* Investigating service issues and escalating where required
* Completing stocktakes and maintaining accurate records
* Generating reports and supporting day-to-day operations
* General administrative support to the wider team
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* Previous administration or customer service experience
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* High attention to detail
* The ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Good computer and data entry skills
* Experience within transport or logistics is highly regarded but not essential
