**The Company**:
My client is a nationally-established commercial construction group that delivers a diverse range of fitout, refurbishment, redevelopment and construction projects across the commercial mixed-use, hotel/hospitality, retail, health and leisure, and industrial sectors valued up to 20mil.
With established offices nationally, this group has close working relationships with a variety of institutional blue-chip clients including landlords/owners, property funds, developers, and retail/hotel brands, resulting in an ongoing consolidated portfolio of negotiated work.
**The Role**:
As QLD Construction Manager, you will work closely with the National Director of Projects and QLD General Manager, overseeing and leading QLD's Project Delivery and Construction Teams, as well as managing QLD's key client portfolio.
Given their focused on ECI/negotiated works, there is a high level of collaboration between the group's Client/Business, Preconstruction, Design and Project Delivery Teams nationally. You will have the opportunity to lead strategic stakeholder engagement during the preconstruction and ECI phases of projects.
As part of The QLD Senior Leadership Team, you will be involved in the implementation of targeted business strategies to streamline delivery processes, as well as secure work with key clients.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Lead and manage respective Construction and Project Teams, including mentoring Site Managers, Contract Administrators and Cadets
- Lead strategic project/client engagement functions, including ECI, value engineering and delivery rollouts
- Interpret, understand and execute Head Contracts, as well as implementing commercial contract risk mitigating strategies
- Ongoing management of projects financials and expenditure inline with budgets
**Qualifications and Requirements**:
- Have demonstrated experience delivering commercial construction/fitout/refurb projects valued up to $5mil, being heavily involved throughout the Preconstruction/ECI process
- Have a deep understanding of commercial construction contracts and implementation of project risk mitigation strategies
- Have a strong network of existing clients across the commercial market
- Have deep understanding of construction methodology and design principles
