Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to support their Water and Wastewater team.
This is a field-based role maintaining and repairing water and wastewater plant and equipment.
Essential Requirements:
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Extensive maintenance and repair experience with plant and machinery.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems and pumps.
- Knowledge of plant operation, capabilities, and maintenance needs.
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- Hepatitis A & B immunisation or willingness to participate in a program.
- Commitment to Council's values: creative, accessible, respectful, energetic, and secure.
Desirable:
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Experience with water/wastewater infrastructure or treatment plants.
- MR licence, forklift ticket.
- Confined Spaces and Working at Heights tickets (or willingness to obtain).
Other Details:
- PPE: High-vis clothing, safety boots, sun protection.
- Field-based with some office tasks.
- Provide licence, tickets, and contact details upon engagement.
