**About the Role**
We are looking for empathetic, experienced, and professional Disability Support Workers to join our Logan and Southern suburbs team. You will play a pivotal role in assisting clients to achieve goals, personal cares, and community access.
As a Disability Support worker, you know that every day will look a little different in this challenging but rewarding role, but you can expect to have responsibility for the following key areas:
- Nursing and Palliative care
- High needs care
- Hoisting and Manual handling
- Mental Health
- Huntington's Disease
- BOC & PBSP exp
- Community Access
- Medications
- Bowel and Catheter care
Shifts available from Sun - Saturday. AM, PM including sleepovers and active nights.
**Essential Requirements include**:
- Prior experience supporting clients with disabilities highly desirable
- Relevant nationally recognised qualification highly desirable
- Must have a QLD driver's licence and own reliable transport
- Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Experience in managing CPAP and Catheter care
- Experience working in mental health or aged care could be particularly helpful in this role
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
- NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- COVID 19 Infection Control certificate (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Two current (within the past 2 years) skilled references from a supervisor will be required
