Position Overview
- Role : Nurse Practitioner (Virtual Care – Contractor)
- Work Type : Remote, 1099 Contractor
- Time Commitment : 20 hours/week – guaranteed schedule with set shifts
- Scheduling : Predictable shifts; options may include evenings or weekends
- Compensation : $60/hour (contractor rate)
This is a part-time contractor position with a fixed weekly schedule. Shifts will be pre-arranged and recurring week to week.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient evaluations via scheduled video visits
- Manage initial intake and treatment planning for adult patients (18+)
- Review lab results and prescribe medications (primarily GLP-1 agonists when appropriate)
- Address ongoing patient concerns via chat and portal communications
- Handle prescription refills, lab follow-up, and chronic care coordination
- Practice within the scope of evidence-based and inclusive care models
- Licensure : Active NP licenses in at least 15 states.
- Certification : AGNP-BC or FNP-BC (ANCC or AANP)
- Experience :
- 2+ years independent NP practice preferred
- Experience in weight loss care and GLP-1 prescribing highly preferred
- Familiarity with compound medications a plus
- Background in internal or family medicine preferred
- Chronic care and telemedicine experience are strongly desired
- Fully remote work setting
- Malpractice coverage (including tail)
