About This Opportunity
The School of Biomedical Sciences teaches 14 undergraduate programs at the University of Queensland. We are seeking Casual Academic (demonstrator) positions to support teaching in anatomy, physiology, or pharmacology.
Responsibilities
Demonstrators play a vital role in teaching and learning. They assist teaching staff in delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Anatomy, Physiology, and Pharmacology.
High‐achieving undergraduates, postgraduate coursework students, and research higher degree students are invited to apply. Non‐students with appropriate qualifications are also welcomed.
Demonstrators must familiarize themselves with lecture and practical material before classes start, attend compulsory training prior to semester commencement, and be prepared for possible changes in allocated hours or course assignments.
Eligibility
Applicants must have work rights in Australia for the duration of the appointment. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Application Process
Applications for Semester 2 2026 will open on Friday 8 May 2026 and close on Friday 5 June 2026.
Applicants should indicate academic background, teaching experience, and course preferences. Selections will be made in consultation with Course Coordinators.
Along with the application form, submit CV/Resume, Academic Transcript, and Cover Letter.

Compensation
These are casual appointments. The rate varies with the work completed. Pay scales are available on the UQ website.
