About the role


Working as part of the Culture & Leadership Centre of Excellence within People and Culture, this role plays a critical role in driving our high performance with high integrity culture through effective performance management and organisational development projects to improve organisational culture and leadership practices consistent with Auto & General's overall strategic direction, values and desired culture.

The Performance & Organisational Development Specialist will lead the cyclical performance management process across the organisation, partnering closely with People & Culture teams and Business Partners to optimise performance and engagement. In addition, the Performance & Organisational Development Specialist will contribute towards the development of organisational development strategies to connect performance, leadership, and culture across the talent lifecycle to drive positive outcomes for employees and the business.

To succeed in this role, you'll have experience in performance management and a passion for improving organisational culture through performance and employee experience initiatives. You'll have highly developed organisational skills to deliver high quality, tailored solutions together with a strong people focus to engage and connect with stakeholders at all levels.


Position Accountabilities
* Lead the enterprise cyclical performance management process and uplift.
* Refine, implement, and mature A&G's performance management framework, working with stakeholders to drive improvements.
* Analyse performance and workforce data to identify trends, training needs and insights, translating findings into evidence-based recommendations and meaningful reporting to support decision-making.
* Collaborate with the Head of Culture & Leadership, Centre of Excellence team and P&C Business Partners to facilitate the development of scalable solutions that support the development of behaviours that enable workplace performance.
* Lead or significantly contribute to enterprise-wide performance, culture, leadership, and employee experience programs aimed at improving organisational performance aligned to strategic objectives.
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders and be a trusted advisor to bring to life the A&G culture in parallel with the business vision and strategy. Partner with teams across the business, providing consultative support to achieve maximum value and impact.
* Provide expert performance management and organisational development advice and guidance to senior leaders and P&C Business Partners.
* Support the Head of Culture & Leadership across the culture, performance and leadership portfolio from time to time to meet operational requirements.

What experience you'll bring
Qualifications and Experience

* A relevant degree in a related field (such as Human Resources, Business or Psychology), and/or equivalent years of professional experience.
* Experience in high growth and/or fast past business (financial services or professional services favourable).
* Demonstrated experience designing and delivering organisational development solutions with a strong focus on performance and organisational culture.
* Ability to think strategically, analyse complex situations and data to develop creative, evidence-based solutions and recommendations.
* Proven ability to work autonomously to project manage end-to-end initiatives to scope, time and budget including change management elements.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and facilitate trusted relationships across teams and leadership levels to influence decision makers and gain their support of organisational development initiatives.
* Excellent communication skills including written and verbal communication to tailor messages for different audiences.
* Experience coaching and advising senior leaders and working effectively with complex stakeholder groups.
