About The Role
Visy Asset Management is seeking a National Operations Manager – Transit Packaging to lead the end‐to‐end operational performance of Visy's returnable packaging network across Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting to the General Manager – Asset Management, this is a senior, business‐critical role with accountability for safety, full P&L ownership, asset utilisation, service delivery and continuous improvement across five key operational and remote sites.
Visy owns and operates a large national pool of transit packaging assets (also referred to as returnable or reusable transport packaging). These are durable packaging assets used to move goods through the supply chain, which are recovered, reused and recirculated rather than disposed of after a single use.
What You'll Do
* Lead 5 national Transit Packaging operations across ANZ
* Own and manage P&L performance, budgets and cost optimisation
* Set and embed safety, compliance and operating standards
* Develop and deliver a national TP operating strategy
* Optimise asset utilisation and lifecycle performance
* Standardise processes, systems and reporting nationally
* Manage key supplier and service partner relationships
* Drive technology, automation and visibility improvements
* Build capable, high‐performing teams through hands‐on leadership
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in manufacturing, logistics, or engineering operations
* Demonstrated success in a senior leadership or national role with full P&L accountability
* Understanding of asset management, lifecycle optimisation and network operations
* Demonstrated success in scaling commercial & business operations, through transformation and continuous improvement
* Experience leading multi‐site teams and influencing stakeholders across functions
