Job Summary:
The Materials Leadership Specialist will oversee the Materials Services team, ensuring operational efficiency and technical excellence. This role involves leading a team of professionals in delivering materials testing and investigation services for transport infrastructure projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead the Materials Services team to achieve operational goals and provide technical leadership for staff members.
* Project manage the delivery of materials testing and investigation services, ensuring compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
* Develop detailed technical reports from research activities, presenting findings, interpretations, and recommendations for practical solutions.
* Provide specialist advice on test methodologies, audit procedures, and instrumentation techniques used in geotechnical investigations and code compliance.
* Manage a program of surveillance and audit activities targeting materials testing services and quality control measures.
* Prepare reports detailing results of surveillance and audit activities, highlighting necessary actions and risks associated with each project.
* Maintain effective stakeholder liaison to ensure expectations are managed, projects are delivered on time, and performance is reviewed regularly.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:
* A C Class driver's licence.
* A Diploma of Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution or registered training organization.
* Adherence to health monitoring protocols as per Work Health and Safety Regulation (Qld) guidelines.
* A clean criminal history check prior to appointment.
Desirable Qualifications:
In addition to the above qualifications, desirable skills include:
* An Advanced Diploma of Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution or registered training organization.
* An Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
* NATA signatory status with accountability for test certificates and sampling certificates.
