Role Description:
* This is a senior level role in the Child Trauma Service program, working with children, young people and their families to provide high quality counselling and support services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver individual and group counselling sessions for children and young people who have experienced trauma.
2. Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to supporting children and families.
3. Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including parents, carers, external partners and government departments.
Requirements:
* Masters or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field.
* Eligibility for full membership of the AASW, APS or other relevant professional body.
* Substantial experience in the area of child abuse and/or working with traumatised children.
* Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively within a team environment and with external partners and stakeholders.
