About the Role:

We're seeking a passionate and self-motivated Trade Sales Development Manager to take ownership of the key regional territory in and around Darwin, Northern Territory. This hybrid, field-based role offers the chance to connect with a diverse customer base spanning trade, commercial, retail, agricultural, and industrial sectors unique to the NT.

You will be responsible for building strong local relationships, driving sales growth, and expanding Penrite's presence in this vibrant and evolving region - backed by a highly respected Australian brand and a supportive national sales team.

Reporting directly to the Trade Sales Manager, this role is perfect for a results-driven professional who excels working independently and developing regional business opportunities in a dynamic market like Darwin.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to trade and retail customers
* Build and maintain strong long-term relationships across your territory
* Proactively identify new business opportunities through fieldwork and local knowledge
* Attend trade events, expos, and regional customer meetings to promote Penrite products
* Provide timely reporting on territory performance and customer feedback
* Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure excellent service and supply

What We're Looking For

* 5+ years' experience in territory or regional sales (automotive or trade-related preferred)
* Prior tenure with a major oil brand or a reseller/distributor of a major oil and lubricant company
* Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets and grow market share
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously across a wide rural area
* Full Australian work rights and current driver's licence
