About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. This role involves working with a broad range of complex general medical conditions, specifically within an Adult Acute Stroke setting. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team managing complex communication and dysphagia caseloads.
This position is available now and the pay rate for this role will be up to £34 per hour.
Main responsibilities
* Assess, diagnose, and treat adults with a variety of complex medical conditions.
* Manage a caseload of patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
* Conduct Videofluoroscopy assessments; experience in this area is essential.
* Perform Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES); experience is desirable.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
* Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Essential requirements
* HCPC registration.
* Right to work in the UK.
* Proven experience in an Adult Acute Stroke setting.
* Expertise in managing complex communication and dysphagia cases.
* Proficiency in Videofluoroscopy.
* Experience with FEES.
