This role is part of the Yawuru Joint Management team, where you will participate in various activities related to conservation, parks and wildlife work.
You will operate primarily in the Yawuru Marine and Conservation parks, under the direction of the Operations Officer (Mentor).
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in prescribed burning, bushfire suppression and control, fauna and flora protection, construction and maintenance of infrastructure.
* Support tourism and recreational activities and the operation of associated machinery.
This position offers development opportunities for Aboriginal people, with preference given to Yawuru Community members or approved Yawuru applicants.
Requirements
* Experience or interest in working on country and manual activities related to conservation and recreation management.
* Evidence of ability to liaise and interact positively, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to operate equipment such as chainsaws, brush cutters and common maintenance tools.
