We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Chef/Cook to join our dynamic team at The Shoreline Hotel Howrah. As a Chef/Cook, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, talent, and passion for cooking while delivering exceptional dining experiences. This will be casual position initially, with a view to a salaried position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook in a variety of stations as directed by our head Chef
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring proper stock rotation and minimizing wastage.
* Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of meals.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Chef/Cook in a professional kitchen environment.
* Solid understanding of culinary techniques and principles.
* Knowledge of various cooking styles and cuisines.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Qualifications:
* Preference for culinary school certification.
* Food safety certification is highly desirable.
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.
