As the Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the pristine environment and ensuring safe, efficient water treatment for both the park and its visitors.
Position Overview
You will operate and control the wastewater treatment process, applying your chemical and mechanical knowledge to maintain plant performance, meet regulatory standards, and support the retreat's sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate the water treatment plant's equipment and processes to meet performance and safety targets.
* Monitor and adjust process parameters, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
* Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and chemical issues, and coordinate with the maintenance team.
* Create and maintain accurate operation logs, maintenance records, and quality reports.
* Participate in rotating on‐call roster to address plant emergencies and off‐site issues.
* Collaborate with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Qualifications & Experience
* Demonstrated experience in the safe operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities.
* Strong knowledge of process control, chemical handling, and mechanical equipment.
* Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving operational challenges.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including graphical and numerical reporting.
* Proficiency with computer systems and data logging software.
* Certificate III in Waste Water Management, or willingness to obtain certification with support from the company.
