Job Title: Strategic Governance Advisor
We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Governance Advisor to provide expert legal and governance advice. The role involves providing timely, insightful legal advice on diverse areas including social services, aged care, employment, contract law, WHS, privacy, and more.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Providing strategic legal counsel to the Board, Chief Executive Officer, and executive leadership.
* Interpreting complex legislation, such as employment law, dispute resolution, and the Aged Care Act.
* Representing our organization before external regulatory bodies, demonstrating professionalism and strategic clarity.
* Serving as Company Secretary and Governance Advisor, supporting our organization's Trust and the Audit and Risk Committee.
* Managing litigation and risk, overseeing all legal risk and liability matters.
* Collaborating with other professionals on professional standards matters.
To be a successful candidate, you will have 7+ years of relevant professional experience post-admission, preferably with in-house experience. You should have expertise in Employment and Industrial Law, Dispute Resolution and/or Litigation, and/or Aged Care Law and Company Secretarial Duties.
