Our City Works team is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking and experienced individual to fill the position of Drainer, on a permanent basis. The role involves undertaking drainage work activities and supporting the drainage team in completing drainage works in a safe and efficient manner to agreed quality standards. To be successful in this role you will have: Experience in trenching, pipe laying, basic leveling & pegging, backfilling and compaction operations. Previous experience in a roadwork and drainage (construction and maintenance) environment. Practical experience with plant and tools, including Excavator Certificate, Quick Cut Saw ticket and Dogman's ticket. Current unrestricted "HR" (Heavy Rigid) class national drivers' licence. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. In addition to the above, the following will be highly regarded: Current certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management (desirable) Current Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable) Completion of Year 10 Certificate (desirable) Loader, Watercart & Roller experience, Accreditation (desirable) The finer details This fulltime Level 3 position attracts a salary range of $66,965 - $69,456 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
