Job Description
Our company is seeking an Assistant Director of Event Technology to join our team. As an Assistant Director, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Event Technology in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of audio-visual department activities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Assist the Director of Event Technology in preparations for client/production and weekly sales meetings.
* Identify opportunities to increase profitable revenue in applicable venues.
* Maintain effective communication with our Accounts Department, other venues, and interstate offices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Previous experience in meetings and events.
* Proven track record of a successful event management career.
* Sound knowledge of Audio-Visual Equipment and the hire thereof.
* Excellent planning, organizational, time management & account management skills.
* Strong business acumen and financial management skills.
* Customer-centric and ability to build strong and long-lasting customer relationships.
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written), negotiation, and influencing skills.
* Ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines.
* Strong rostering and cost management experience.
* Experience in the hospitality or luxury sector.
* Qualification in Hospitality or Events is highly regarded.
