Primary objective
Manage and develop a broad range of internal and external multimedia and graphic design projects, from initial concept through
to completion. Provide exceptional advice to clients to ensure the best possible outcome for their projects and in doing so,
positively impact the agency’s brand and reputation.
Context statement
The Media and Communications Unit provides advice and support in media relations, marketing, internal and digital
communications, stakeholder engagement, protocol and recognition matters, strategic communications, and communications
policy.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Develop and manage a broad range of graphic design, video, animation, photography and multimedia projects for social media
and communication projects including publications and websites, in line with agency brand guidelines.
2. Provide expert advice to assist clients and project teams in achieving the best outcomes for their projects.
3. Develop detailed project plans, scripts, and storyboards for a broad range of internal and external multimedia and graphic design
projects.
4. Organise a range of logistical activities and undertake administrative procedures associated with the delivery of multimedia
projects.
5. Work collaboratively with project teams, content experts, and clients (including Executive) to provide advice and develop
effective and engaging content that supports agency projects and activities
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a high-pressure, politically
sensitive environment.
2. Demonstrated expert knowledge and experience in the use of industry standard multimedia, editing, animation and graphic
design software packages, as well as understanding DSLR cameras, sound recording devices, lighting kits and other multimedia-
related accessories and technologies.
3. Proven experience developing high-quality graphic design and multimedia projects, including publications, video, photography,
animation, digital, and online.
4. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including the ability to liaise, collaborate, and influence stakeholders in
the design and delivery of projects.
5. Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects at any given time with tight turn-around times, from initial conceptual stage
through to final sign off and completion.
6. A current NT driver’s license, as well as an NT Working with Children Clearance card or ability to obtain.
7. Willingness to occasionally work outside of regular business hours or other locations when required.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in multimedia, film, graphic design or other relevant discipline(s).
2. Experience using AI-assisted creative workflows.
