Job Title: IT Risk and Governance Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior IT Risk and Governance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in IT governance, stakeholder engagement, and risk management.
Main Responsibilities
* Risk Oversight:
o Proactively manage a comprehensive view of IT risks based on the existing risk register.
o Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to align recommendations with feasible and pragmatic risk-mitigation plans.
o Establish clear remediation pathways for risks related to architecture, security, service quality, and other critical areas.
* Project Governance & Visibility:
o Increase visibility of in-flight IT projects by introducing simple but effective governance and reporting frameworks.
o Develop and present regular updates to internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity on project progress, risk statuses, and decisions required.
o Identify any gaps in the portfolio (e.g., resource constraints, cross-dependencies) and escalate issues in a timely manner.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
o Engage project stakeholders and provide regular, evidence-based communication about project progress and IT risk management efforts.
o Support the Director of IT and Digital Services in managing the interface between IT operations and stakeholders for risk management and project portfolio management, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment of priorities.

* Demonstrated ability to address procedural gaps with a pragmatic approach.
* Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of building trust across diverse stakeholder groups.
* Ability to lead with influence and manage change resistance.
* Deep understanding of IT architecture, information security, and service quality assurance.
Requirements
* Minimum 10+ years of IT management experience, including a focus on governance and risk mitigation.
