Role Description
This is a full-time contract role (6 months), hybrid based in Brisbane, QLD. The Mechatronics Engineer will design, develop, and troubleshoot mechatronic systems used in the assembly and operation of long-range cargo drones. Responsibilities include developing efficient mechanical and electrical systems, performing routine maintenance and repairs, integrating electronic components with mechanical systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Collaboration with cross‐functional teams to innovate and optimize drone system performance is a key aspect of this role.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Mechatronics and integration of mechanical and control systems
* Strong knowledge of Electrical Engineering and Electronics
* Experience in Maintenance, Repair, and Electromechanics with an emphasis on diagnostics and troubleshooting
* Proficiency in CAD software and design tools is preferred
* Familiarity with UAS technology, systems development, and technical standards
* Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
* Excellent problem‐solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Experience in the aerospace or drone technology industry is a plus
