About you:
* Previous experience with designing, implementing, administrating, and monitoring data management systems.
* Experience ensuring data consistency, quality, security, and compliance with rules and regulations.
About the role:
* Maintain capabilities using Oracle and/or Sybase technologies.
* Evaluate, test, and coordinate installation of new system releases and patches.
* Investigate, coordinate, and resolve service problems.
* Manage system and database configurations across environments (production, QA, development, etc.).
* Monitor database activity, optimize performance, and forecast resource needs.
* Develop expertise in relational databases and replication technologies such as Oracle Database and/or Sybase ASE / Sybase Replication Server.
* Create simple programs or scripts to support system software implementation and maintenance.
